The Dalrymple Hotel turned into a little slice of 70s–80s magic when Dreams hit the stage. This six‑piece band knows exactly how to tap into the spirit of Fleetwood Mac, and having originals Wayne Daniels and Annette Zavesa front and centre gives the whole show a real sense of authenticity. Daniels channels Lindsey Buckingham with that unmistakable guitar energy while Annette leans fully into her inner Stevie Nicks—flowing vocals, effortless charisma, the whole vibe. Add Lily Lindsay capturing the warmth and poise of Christine McVie, and you’ve got a lineup that feels genuinely well‑balanced.

One of the coolest touches throughout the night was the way the set was broken up with short biographical snippets about the band’s history. It wasn’t overdone—just enough to give the songs context and remind everyone of the Fleetwood Mac/ Stevie Nicks story.
The crowd clearly loved the set list. With a catalogue as massive as theirs, there’s no way to cover everything, but the band did a great job mixing the essentials with some deeper cuts.

“Stand Back” was an interesting inclusion – Nicks was inspired to write it after hearing Prince’s “Little Red Corvette” and you could really hear the influence. “Edge of Seventeen” came in hot with an “Eye of the Tiger” intro that somehow worked way better than you’d think. And then there was their high-energy cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll.”
Someone in the crowd yelled out for “Tusk,” and while that request didn’t get picked up, the band more than made up for it with favourites like “7 Wonders,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Gypsy,” “Dreams”, “Rhiannon” and “Everywhere” and a beautifully delivered “Landslide.” No one walked away short changed.
